Featured Books and Author
I have four daughters and a step-son along with a supportive wonderful wife. In between working, coaching my daughter’s softball team, and just being a dad, I returned to school and achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
I am a Vietnam veteran and after leaving the service I became a police officer. I spent 32 years in law enforcement and I have seen some of the best and worst of our society. When I retired, I tried many different activities to stay busy but I found the most relaxing for me was writing.
As a police officer, I had to write reports, often several a day. Police reports consisted of a list of fill in the blank facts and then a narrative story of how those facts fit in the circumstances that led to the incident. I knew that many people would be reading these reports and making important decisions, at least partially on what the report told them. With this in mind, I always tried to describe the incident as fully as I could without being prejudice in my perspective.
Because of my interest in government and politics I often listened to radio talk shows and television shows about politics. For years, I continually heard points of view predicting doom and gloom in our future. One day I asked myself what if all these things actually happened? So I began to write “The Cost of …” series of books.
