Annika is an adventurous girl that sets out to explore the South Pole with her best friend Gracie. They stumble upon Penny, a lost penguin, in desperate need of help. While trying to reunite their new found friend with her family, they encounter some dangerous chance meetings with other occupants of the South Pole. Determined to get Penny home safely, Annika and Gracie prove that simple acts of kindness to those in need return great rewards.
Gail resides with her husband of almost forty years in a rural community of Western Massachusetts where she was born and raised. She recently became a grandmother for the first time and was inspired to write this story to leave as a legacy for her granddaughter. Gail is a mother of two grown daughters and travels to her vacation home in upstate New York with her family as often as she can. Her interests include boating on Lake George, hiking in the Adirondacks, knitting for her granddaughter, and quilting. Gail is currently employed as a purchasing agent for a paper company based in Georgia.
