Juliette Moon, an inspiration to teaching and learning, embraces students’ literacy skills, and instructional practices that enhance students’ sense of engagement in and ownership of their learning. Outside of receiving recognition for numerous school articles, Juliette co-authored two children’s books with Sausan El Burai Félix (Vuela Alto & The Day Bubble Gum Took My Breath Away!), with Spanish translation. Her earlier publications include Teacher Reflections, Let’s Hear It From the Boys: Inspired by America’s Choice, and Affectionate Moon: Poetic Reflections. Juliette’s research includes Prenatal Substance Exposure and its Affect on Student Achievement, Teacher Absenteeism and Its Impact on Student Performance, and Teacher Displacement Equals Teacher Dissatisfaction. Outside of mentoring teachers, writing, and researching, Juliette loves watching Jeopardy, as well as playing Candy Crush Saga, and 4 Pictures-1 Word. A native Chicagoan, Juliette resides in Brookhaven, GA., and has a beautiful daughter, Joi, residing in Metro Atlanta.
