GABOR RUBANYI is a Hungarian–born American scientist. His pioneering work on the nature and characterization of endothelium derived nitric oxide and his contribution to the discovery of endothelin in the 1980s, had a significant influence on our current understanding of cardiovascular function in health and disease. ¢e author and coauthor of 22 scientific books and over 520 publications, he served on the editorial board of several biomedical journals, was the founding editor-in-chief of the biomedical journal, Endothelium, and is the member of several American and international scientific societies. He lives in San Diego with his wife, Edith.
