About the Book

A foal is born in a paddock and on the night of its birth, it is hit by a falling star. Nothing happens that is out of the ordinary for the foal, until after its 1st Birthday, when a golden horn begins to grow. The foal had been given to a family with two children that live on a farm. They try to keep Jasper a secret, so that nothing bad will happen to him. One day a man visiting the farm notices Jasper and his shiny horn, and goes back into town telling people what he had seen. He tells about a horse with a gold horn stuck to its head to look like a unicorn. The wrong people hear about Jasper and he is stolen one night. The family look for Jasper, but cannot find him.
