This is about a cat that is taken back to a homeless shelter when he is a year old. Obviously he is sad. But he gets a second chance, and chooses to live life to its fullest. He has parties, goes to cloud nine, becomes a fireman mascot, and so much more.
She graduated from Roosevelt University with a BSBA with a major in accounting. She was an accountant for over 20 years and then moved into a 10 year career in real estate. Over this time she became a world traveler, but even more important to her life were the animals that crossed her path. From the time she was a mere five years old she was owned by cats. Having been owned by cats for so long you begin to talk their language. For her it was not an easy language to learn. Latin was far easier. This series of children’s stories started as a way for her son to feel comfortable leaving his cat alone. Joel suffers from a severe case of Bipolar, and adopted a cat, Furrgie, to help with his depression and loneliness. Sometimes, however, his depression still got the better of him, so he would spend the night at her home. He would then become uncomfortable about Furrgie being home alone. She quickly devised stories of Furrgie’s escapades around town when his human was absent. Soon Joel was adding to the tales, and slowly became comfortable leaving Furrgie. In addition, much to their surprise, his depression started to heal as well. It was then they decided that they needed share these stories... They hope you can find encouragement, comfort and humor in these pages about Furrgie’s great adventures and you too, can wonder what tomorrow will bring. CO AUTHOR Joel is first and foremost a lover of animals. He lives in a small Midwest town with his great cat. Joel was named to Who’s Who in American Junior Colleges in 1995, while attending College of DuPage. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University and is a published author and photographer.
