Items Summary
We read for many different reasons. For Inspiration or encouragement. To make us laugh or at least chuckle. To reminisce about family or friends. I have tried to do all of it in this book of poetry. The following are excerpts from poems in all three categories. Inspirational or Encouragement: Three Days So whatever your problems you think you can bare. You are not the only one who’s ever been there. If you think you can’t take your life anymore. Just give it three days to settle the score. On the lighter side: Southern Lady My daddy taught me from the time he let me start to date. Daughter never leave this house without your thirty eight. Now I never had to use that gun or even pull it out. But anyone I dated knew I would without a doubt. Family and Friends: Almost a Sister Now our children have kids of their own. I would bet their wild oates were sown. So now we are old but it isn’t too late. If you’re ready to sow we’ll make it a date.
Linda has loved to read as far back as she can remember. One of her earliest memories is going to the public library with her mother and visiting the children’s room. She always came home with as many books as they would allow. Linda lives in Opelika, Alabama with her husband Craig and dog
