About the Author

Nancy Chaffee wrote this novel after being inspired from her visit to Darwin and Jabiru, Northern Territory, Australia. She was so impressed with the area, the Australian culture, and lifestyles that it motivated her to write a story depicting characters from the region. With her background as a pharmacist with a PD doctorate degree and a master of science degree in health administration, she was able to apply the knowledge needed for the book. While in Australia she learned about the Royal Flying Doctors Association and felt that others needed to know about this amazing group and incorporated them into the story line. Nancy lives in a small town, a hundred miles south of Atlanta, Georgia, on a miniature horse farm, where she donates her horses to children with disabilities.
