About the Author

One day Doc Shear was reading the Gospel of John. He read the familiar verse of John 3:16, then he stopped and read John 3:17, the Verse after the Verse. He discovered an amazing dynamic with these two verses, so he looked up some other familiar verses and then looked at the verse just following. There were important connections. So he selected twelve familiar verses for this book. He unpacks the verse, then looks at the verse after the verse and shows a dynamic connection. Doc Shear is a story teller when it comes to preaching scriptural text so he includes many stories to help illustrate the connections in this book. The reader will not only see those connections in the verses but will also enjoy personal stories that bring the verses to life.
