John Hill holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco and a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. This is his second book; his first book Dreamer in the Fields was published in 2010. Hill with his eight siblings spent nine years in foster care with a Pentecostal minister and his wife. After graduating from high school in1964, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Hill worked for over twenty years in the private industry for FMC, Plantronics, and ROLM Corporations, all in Silicon Valley, California, before engaging in government work for Santa Clara County and Los Angeles County. Hill is now retired; he and his wife of forty-four years, Mattie, live in Fresno, California. They have four daughters.
