This collection consists of some solemn and spiritual works, several Thanksgiving prayer-poems which depict all family members, a passionate 9-11 poem from a hands-on perspective, and three family deaths.
Kathleen Jane Madden Dunleavy is a retired widow who completed her undergraduate degree at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and two graduate degrees, an MA at Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MSN at The University of Phoenix. Kathleen is a mother of four, grandmother of eleven, and a great-grandmother of a baby boy. Kathleen’s professional career was in Nursing. She was employed at New York-Presbyterian Hospital for over forty years in the fields of Neurology and Neurosurgery. At NYPH, she also participated in several hospital activities - the Pastoral Care Advisory Board, the Organ Donor Council, and the Medical Ethics Committee. She is also an accomplished pianist and organist. Her primary interests in life are her family, helping others, children, reading, writing, music, spirituality and gardening.
