Penelope is a little girl from the Upper West Side. She is sweet, yet mischievous in her innocence. Adventure awaits her at the infamous Bloomingdale’s in New York City. A day of shopping with her mother turns into a child’s greatest department store escapade! Take a walk through Bloomingdale’s in the eyes of Penelope.
Kelly Tokuhama was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is a third grade teacher at Island Pacific Academy in Kapolei. Working with children of all ages for fifteen years gave her insight into seeing the world through the perspective of a child. While Kelly has written numerous children’s stories as a child, this is her first published children’s book. Paintings created by Kelly cover the walls of her home, and reflect the illustrations in this book. Jacques, the Coton de Tulear featured in this book, is an actual family pet that belongs to her mom.
