About the Book
Grandfather from Denmark and grandmother from France. Father serve in ww2 in the Army Air Corp. Served in North Africa Italy and France. Suffered from shell shock when one night all of the pilots were killed and daddy was a parachute rigger and there rent next to them was bombed. My husband served in marines his father was observed by Ernie Pyye himself and was moved to write the story HYPERLINK “http://G.I.Jo” G.I.Joe. I have a very proud heritage. But I’m sad that I could not support even myself and ran away from it all to be part of the history I grew up with, to be able to support the country I love, and then be heartbroken that I could not stay.
