About the Author

As a 30 year veteran of being a classroom teacher for grades 1-4, Lynn Nelson read thousands of books aloud to her classes. Every day after lunch they would settle in and get ready to listen to a good story. Children would tell her that this was their favorite time of the day. To her it was always the favorite. She said on many occasions that she could turn some of their everyday classroom events into a book and that when she grew up she was going to be a writer. Now that she’s retired and all grown up, the time has come to follow that dream. Today, she lives in a small town in Alabama, where she was born and have lived all of her life.
